The Gala Evening on the
final Saturday of the festival has long been recognised as a feast
of high quality entertainment featuring successful choirs and
soloists.
It attracts a big audience in the Huddersfield Town
Hall with a marvellous atmosphere. Tickets are available in advance
from the Huddersfield Information Centre and are on sale at the
door.
Members of the public are very welcome to attend any
session - morning, afternoon, evening - in the nine day festival,
when up to 2000 competitors will be performing in up to 140
different classes.
Most session charges are only £1.00 with a
few priced at £1.50; £2.00 and £2.50. Day tickets offer a saving for
anyone attending three sessions in a day.
The best value for
regular attenders is to become a "Friend of the Mrs Sunderland".
Under the Friends
scheme a payment of just £20.00 will give you free entry to all
sessions except those on the final Saturday and the Kirklees Young Musician
of the Year Contest.
You will also receive a free programme and
your personal support will be personally acknowledged in the following year's
programme.
Come and enjoy talented performers in
action. |
